Spectacular Origin
In 2016 we were approached by artist and contractor Jake Klotz, who was designing the Williamsburg, Brooklyn, home and studio of a well known artist friend.
Jake came to us with a vision - and ultra modern, clean and simple kitchen in stark, pure white with no hardware to disrupt the visual aesthetic. Something that could fade into the background like untouched canvas.
Fortunately, we’d been putting the finishing touches on a product we were developing - a handle-free cabinet system with a beautiful machined metal channel, which imparts a cool, clean precision perfect for an urban dwelling.
Solid, thick doors give substance and heft, providing undeniable presence and satisfying interaction.
It was exactly what we was looking for. And with that, the first Spectra kitchen was born.
Spectra is made for the city.
For the person that wants clean, cool, pure modernism.
For the loft with a view of the skyline.
For an edge of the industrial.
For perfect, crisp precision.
