Paratelier

From Lisbon's own Paratelier comes a innovative means of home construction. By virtue of using a cast concrete shell, the builders were left with not a few leftover wood panels from the mould. The obvious answer: Bring them inside. After the floor, walls, and furnishings, 93% of the wood was successfully repurposed. On top of the utility of conservation, creative use of materials, abundant light and carefully planned spaces go a long way to make this house a home. For more, visit dezeen.
